The final beta weekend for Diablo IV is looming, with the invitation for any and all to storm the servers and really bring them to their knees as part of the aptly named Server Slam event.
But of course, with only a weekend to immerse yourself in the sinful delights of Diablo IV you shouldn’t be wasting even a moment on something as silly as downloading the client. Thankfully, Diablo staff are pointing out that the early download will open for all on Wednesday May 10th at 12pm PDT (Or the wee hours of Thursday, May 11 for us Aussies).

Once you have your boots on the ground, the race is on to try and achieve the unique goal of the slam weekend – hitting both level 20 AND defeating the colossal world boss, Ashava.
Doing so will reward you with a special cosmetic item when the game launches, the ‘Cry of Ashava’ mount trophy:

Once this monstrous foe falls for the last time, and server hardware is all but smoldering – the very next time people will be facing off against the foes of sanctuary will be when the game properly releases June 6, 2023.
