A lot of tasty little tidbits of gaming goodness have been trickling out from the Tokyo Game Show, with some particularly epic snippets revealed as part of the panels that were held there.
One such piece of news comes from the Xbox Q&A session, where a question was asked towards what particular series or IP they’d like to see receive a revival – with Xbox’s Corporate Vice President Sarah Bond offering an exciting, crowd-sourced answer:
(FYI) In an Interview at #XboxTGS Sarah Bond was asked about which IP is most requested to be revived but she answered that a lot of fans and a lot of people in interviews have asked her about StarCraft.

Turns out plenty of peeps at the Tokyo Game Show ended up shooting their shot – pointing out that StarCraft deserves more than to simply languish in the archives. Her comments are far from a commitment or plan, but it’s an exciting level of recognition:

Now I will be the first to say that the RTS genre is not one that has grown with all gaming-kind. The classic StarCraft experience is a bit of a hard sell to new gamers, especially when you try and argue to point that it is 90% patience and then 10% frenzied strategy, before a crushing loss likely manifests.
But hey! That is the beautiful thing about StarCraft – it is literally a universe, so why not explore some options. StarCraft: Ghost never got released, why not revisit a third person action adventure game? Heck, at this point in my life I’d probably settles for a range of StarCraft themed skins snaking their way into Call of Duty: Warzone. I am that desperate.
Are you a long suffering StarCraft fan? Do you get a glimmer of hope from this interaction? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
