Xbox Live Games With Gold For December Announced

What will you be playing next month?

(Source: Xbox Wire)

Microsoft is closing out 2015 with a relatively weak Games With Gold lineup next month, although Xbox Live Gold subscribers will get a fifth free game as an “extra gift for the holidays,” the company announced today.

December will kick off with NeocoreGames’ The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, which will be available free all month long on Xbox One. The second Xbox One game will be Thief, Eidos Montreal’s franchise reboot from 2014, which will be free for a month from Dec. 16, 2015, to Jan. 15, 2016.

Xbox 360-owning Gold subscribers will be able to download Zen Studios’ CastleStorm from Dec. 1-15. The game was originally released in 2013, and its Xbox One remaster from 2014 was already available on Games With Gold this past spring. In the second half of December, Xbox 360 owners will get Keen Games’ Sacred 3 and a bonus game, Codemasters’ Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

As announced during Gamescom, all Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles from November 2015 onward will support the Xbox One’s new backward compatibility feature.
