PlayStation has announced that the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will release on PS5 on January 28, 2022, as well as revealed details about what players can expect from the PS5 version. The PC version of the game will be released at a later date.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection bundles both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: Lost Legacy, which have been remastered for the PS5. Players can utilise the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and the console’s 3D Spaitial Audio features, as well as some graphical perks, which includes:
- Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
- Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
- Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps at a 1080p resolution (if you own a 120hz compatible display).
But what if you already own both, one of, or the existing digital bundle? Players can pay a small fee of A$15 (US$10) to upgrade to the PS5 version. Owners of the physical versions will be eligible for the upgrade, however, they will need to insert the disc whenever they want to play or download the nu-gen versions. Unfortunately, no such deal exists for those who own the disc versions and a digital PS5 console or people who redeemed Uncharted 4 via PlayStation Plus.
