Devolver Digital and Massive Monster have announced that they will host an event called Unholy Matrimony – a Cult of the Lamb Wedding during PAX Aus 2024 on October 13.
That’s right, this year’s PAX Aus will come complete with two weddings officiated in a life-size replica of the Cult of the Lamb Temple that players will recognise from the game. 100% legally binding in the eyes of the Victorian Government, the two ceremonies will take place on Sunday, October 13, with the first kicking off at 11am and the second at 3pm.
Though you’re unlikely to walk past a temple without noticing it, the recreated place of worship will be located near the Handheld Lounge at the entrance to the Main Theatre and will be available for ritualistic sacrifice photo opportunities throughout Friday and Saturday.
If you swing by on Friday or Saturday, you can go hands-on with Cult of the Lamb’s newest content drop, Unholy Alliance, and nab yourself some items of workshop (merch).
Massive Monster’s Creative Director, Julian Wilton, was keen to do something bigger and crazier than in years past, saying, “Last year, we threw an epic rave at Federation Square, and over 6,000 people showed up. So, we thought, how do we top that this year? Easy… wedding rituals!”
