The Minecraft Movie Teaser Looks Like A Nightmarish Fever Dream

Be there or be square, I guess

A short teaser has dropped to give everyone a taste of what is to come in 2025 when A Minecraft Movie comes to theatres, and that taste seems to have been laced with something, because hoo boy it is definitely something to behold.

Take a look as Jason Momoa and co step foot into the uncanny world of ultra-high definition Minecraft – to meet up with the legendary Steve and begin their blocky adventure:

While it doesn’t look atrocious by any means, it is still a curious choice to have live action people in the Minecraft dimension. With films like Super Mario Bros doing gangbusters and showing that you don’t neeeed a live action component, many are wondering why that wasn’t the case here.

I may need a little more exposure to it to really make up my mind, but right now I am just not feeling the oddball nature of this one – may just be aimed squarely at the younger crowd, and I am too old and crusty to justify it.

What do you think of the Minecraft film teaser? Does it inspire you to grab a pickaxe? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
