The Last of Us HBO series has cast Nick Offerman as Bill, replacing the previously announced Con O’Neill.
As reported by Variety, Offerman will be playing the paranoid survivor Bill, a man that lives alone in their own trap-riddled town with partner Frank, played by The White Lotus’ Murray Bartlett. When Joel and Ellie encounter Bill in the game, he’s held up in his town alone, with Frank already…left. In the series, Frank will still be kicking around, so we’ll get to see the relationship between the two survivors. Though technically an ally to the protagonists, Bill is a somewhat unhinged character, so it’ll be interesting to see what Offerman does with the role.
Chernobyl star Con O’Neill was originally penned to take on the role but was forced to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. The series will take place over 10 episodes, with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey leading the show as Joel and Ellie respectively.
