Parisian outfit, Sunny Peak, has booked the venue, tuned the instruments and is getting ready to sell seats for its upcoming debut performance, Symphonia.
Billed as a “non-violent, poetic platformer,” Symphonia is a stunning-looking effort that was first conceived as a student game at the ISART School of Video Games and 3D-FX Animation in Paris (which you can still find and download via itch.io) and is now set to grace PC and consoles as a full-fledged release on December 5th.
The game stars a mysterious violinist named Philemon, on a quest to restore their decaying world with the power of music by finding and recruiting a series of prodigious musicians. Featuring high-flying, skill-testing 2D platforming with Philemon’s violin and bow at its mechanical centre, it looks to be one for fans of games like Celeste or Ori and the Blind Forest.
Naturally, the game will also feature a beautiful, orchestral soundtrack written by composers Olivier Esman, Alexandre Bucas-Français and Lou Corroyer, and performed by the Scoring Orchestra Paris.
Check out the Release Date Announcement trailer for Symphonia below and if you’re keen, there’s also a demo available right now on Steam.
