The amalgamation of The Last of Us and The Division known as The Day Before will get a release date this month according to the game’s latest teaser trailer.
The Day Before is an open-world MMO set in a post-pandemic America where players will need to fight off “flesh-hungry infected” and other survivors for resources, weapons and vehicles. Developed by FNTASTIC and published by MYTONA, it was originally set to release in Q2 2021, but that window came and went without an update.
An announcement then surfaced in August that mentioned an event taking place in September known as The Day Before Mega Event, which promised new gameplay and news. Since then the game’s social channels have teased the event but no date has been revealed. The latest teaser, which was posted yesterday, is a 17-second clip that displays a message stating that the game’s release date will be announced at the Mega Event.
As someone with a modicum of hope that The Day Before will turn out as good it looks, I am looking forward to the Mega Event and hoping that the game’s release isn’t too far away.
