If my What Is Happening With The Day Before article from a couple of weeks ago didn’t make it clear enough, I’m pretty keen on Fntastic and MyTona’s open-world survival MMO. But as I explained, there’s a been a clear lack of official communication from the game’s developer and publisher, and it’s made a lot of interested players concerned, especially with the release just around the corner on June 21.
However, since my article went live I have continued to keep digging and look out for any morsel of information regarding the game. One way I have been doing this is continuing to frequent the game’s Steam forums and Discord channel, where little tidbits have surfaced. Moderators for both of these channels have posted comments regarding the game’s current status. As you can see below, one moderator (who is the head moderator) a week ago that the game “will come out,” and that new information is coming “very soon.” If you wondering about the authenticity of these comments you simply need to look to the third line – this person doesn’t understand why people put pineapple on pizza. If there’s one trait that raises suspicions it’s putting pineapple on pizza and this person passes the test.
But that simply says the game will come out I hear you say. In response to a question regarding the game’s release date, another moderator confirmed that The Day Before will launch on June 21, 2022.
On Steam, the head moderator explained that while things are quiet from a communication perspective, there are a lot of things happening behind the scenes and that the team will be making an announcement soon. Furthermore, one of the developers posted a message on Steam in March (which I missed previously until it was bumped to the top) asking for “volunteers” from Thailand.
Despite the lack of communication from Fntastic or MyTona, these comments are promising for players who are holding out hope of jumping into The Day Before on June 21. Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait too long for whatever news announcement the team is planning.
