The release month for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has potentially been revealed by Venom’s voice actor, Tony Todd.
Responding to an excited fan on his own Twitter thread, Todd rather flippantly mentioned that the highly-anticipated sequel’s release date “Looks like September!”
Not content with stealing some of Sony and Insomniac’s thunder, Todd elaborated, giving a rough idea as to when the marketing machine for the game will spring to life, saying “Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told.”

Obviously, we can’t be certain that this will stick, as it’s far from an official reveal, but it would stand to reason that an actor with a very prominent role in the game would be privy to a few secret details. As another fan said in the thread, I’m sure Todd wasn’t meant to spill these beans, so it’ll be interesting to see if plans change now.
We loved the Web Head’s initial outing, saying in our review that “Insomniac games bring their trademark fun and polish to a fan-favourite franchise with excellent, if predictable, results.” We gave Marvel’s Spider-Man an 8.8.
