A special surprise for people who love all things fast AND spiny today, with the Summer Game Fest festivities offering a new trailer for the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations title.
Packed to the brim with gameplay footage showcasing a wondrous romp for all three of the iconic hedgehogs, it also provided a fleeting glimpse of the bizarre story beats that await the dark and mysterious Shadow the Hedgehog – with an amazing cutscene showing him morphing, Venom-style, into a winged hedgehog. Daaang.
Alongside this visual feast, other details have also been shown off across the web – including a neato look at the key art for the game, showing the sweet dissonance between Sonic’s bright and colourful attitude and the chaotic darkness that encapsulates Shadow. There is also the news that the title is coming October 25, so that will mean the 26th for us Aussie types.
