Sega has shadow dropped an incredible new entry into the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, taking note that such a title has come thanks to years of public opinion – because they have heard all of it.
Running fast is clearly passé, because The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog introduces the most drastic change to his control scheme – being dead.
The game is available right now on Steam, and boasts a fun cast of familiar characters getting to the bottom of what happened:

I am personally thrilled to see the future of Sonic taking such risks, because dramatic changes to the hedgehog formula is perhaps what the fans love most. Wait, no – we love the introduction of new animal friends that become critical story components! Yeah!
I can’t wait to see what comes next for Sonic as he takes brave new steps into the world of… decaying. And don’t forget! Everything is canon!
