I told myself that I would reach Platinum rank in duos before Season 2 of Rocket League wrapped up, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Am I sad about that? No, because it means that a brand new season is just around the corner. Psyonix has officially announced Rocket League Season 3 will be kicking off on April 8.
Focusing on speed, Season 3 will introduce the newest vehicle, the Tyranno. With a Dominus hitbox and a very muscly design, this is likely to make Rocket League fans happy. DFH Stadium will be getting a new twist as well in the form of the DFH Circuit arena. Redesigned with a racetrack fitted to the edge of the field, DFH will also get kitted out with all of the race day trimmings you would find at a live race.
Why the racing theme? Well, it probably has something to do with NASCAR and F1 cars making their way to the game. Both vehicles will receive their own bundles and will be available for purchase separately, with NASCAR arriving in early May and the F1 car following later in the same month. Season 3 will, of course, have a new Rocket Pass available for purchase, featuring a whole host of unlockable content, but we’ll have to wait for specifics. For now, take a look at the trailer for Season 3:
Rocket League is free to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X&S, Switch and PC.
