Psychological Horror Those Who Remain Gets A Gamescom Trailer

Love me some obscure horror

Gamescom might not be kicking off in Cologne, Germany just yet, but that hasn’t stopped UK-based publisher Wired Productions from dropping a trailer for the upcoming psychological horror game Those Who Remain.

Developed by independent studio Camel 101, Those Who Remain sees players take control of Edward, as he makes his way through the mysterious town of Dormont.

As you’d expect, Dormont is going through a bit of a rough patch, with people randomly disappearing and other oddities occurring in what was once an innocent, sleepy town.

The trailer sees a man (presumably Edward) talking of how loss makes you realise how easily one can take life for granted, before a quick montage of supernatural events occur, which sees objects being pulled from the ground and left to float in the air.

The trailer is odd and doesn’t offer much, but as fan of psychological horror games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Silent Hill I’m quietly hopeful that this initial obscurity will begin to make sense once we can all get our hands on it.

According to Wired Productions, Those Who Remain will arrive soon on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
