It’s becoming more pricey to play.
Several outlets revealed a small increase to the price of PlayStation Dualsense controllers on many online sales platforms today, with Aussie gaming outlet Press Start confirming that our sunburnt shores are already seeing a jump of ten bucks in most cases.
This seems to be a flow on effect of the price increasing elsewhere, as spotted by Wario64:

Over on Press Start, the breakdown sees that most brick-and-mortar stores have already lumped in the additional cost, but you can still snag a quick cheapie (comparatively) if you head on over to Amazon AU.

It’s not a great change, and it comes shortly after the discovered price increase of the PlayStation 5 console in Japan. People speculate that an announced of a PS5 Pro console is rapidly approaching, so this could well be a factor.
Obviously many who already own a PS5 will have a controller already in hand, but if you were thinking of grabbing a newer (or fancier) one, you’d best swing by Amazon while you still can save a few bucks.
Are you in the market for a new controller? Will you feel the sting of the price increase? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
Shoutouts to Press Start.
