Mortal Kombat 1’s Toughest Opponent Is A Knife Wielding Roomba

The Mortal Kombat series is no stranger to ‘Secret’ fights – and Mortal Kombat 1 is no exception.

However, I don’t think people were expecting the Roomba self-driven vacuum buddy to appear as an opponent.

It turns out that within the Invasions game mode, you can encounter the same little suck-buddy that lives in Johnny Cage’s mansion – only now he is packing some bladed accessories, and wishes to harm your ankles.

If you have managed to find a ‘Challenger Medallion’ consumable item, you can plug it into the Gateway Portal mesa to take on the Seasonal Challenge tower – revealing this challenger:

If you are able to best the cyber-critter in an epic game of keep-away, you are then awarded with a Talisman that will allow you to summon the devilish dust destroyer in other Invasion fights.

It’s awesome to see that Mortal Kombat 1 is packed to the gills with all manner of weird and wonderful secrets – this may well be my favourite secret opponent of all time. Let get a full roster slot dedicated to them, stat.

If you want to give this a crack, take a peek at the shopkeepers in the Sun Do Festival Invasion map to try and find that Challenger Medallion – then best of luck with defeating this monster, before it de-feets you. Geddit?
