Whether it be out of routine or addiction, it’s rare for me to miss my morning cup of coffee. That smooth cup’a Joe just kickstarts my day in a delicious, caffeine-filled manner and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Melbourne-based indie developer Route 59 Games clearly has a similar love for java, as their first commercial video game suggests. Announced back in 2017, Necrobarista is a visual novel that will have you interacting with a wide range of interesting characters in a fantasy version of Melbourne.
In July 2019 we chatted to the folks over at Route 59 about their quirky title, and at that stage, they were still fairly unsure about when exactly it would release. Though we still don’t have a solid date, Route 59 has announced via Twitter that the game has finally gone gold:
Necrobarista when: our publishing partners decide on a date to release the game. This means the answer is still "soon", but it's more of a "pretty soon" than a "vaguely soon" or "sometime this year" or "soon, but on a geological scale".

Nerobarista will launch on PC, PS4 and Switch in 2020.
