Check behind your couch cushions, because if you can rummage up a paltry $5.29AUD you can actually own the definitive edition of Marvel’s Avengers before it vanishes from storefronts forever.
That’s right, the live service 2020 action-adventure game is hanging up it’s cape and hammer once and for all – with Crystal Dynamics ending ongoing support for good.
📢 Marvel's Avengers: Definitive Edition is up to 90% off on Steam until Sep. 27.

September 30 spells the final day for Earth’s mightiest heroes – while it may no longer be available to buy, those who own it can continue to play it ‘largely as it is today’ according to the studio.
In-game events will also continue on their current two-week rotation, you’ll just be shit out of luck if you require any specific customer support or dream of future updates.
It’s a depressing state of affairs for a game that arguably was a sure-fire hit on paper (Our own Adam Ryan even gave the game a 7.5 score of “good”) but the breaking point of ‘games as a service’ was upon us all, and the gaming audience responded in kind. People wanted to Hulk Smash, not Hulk Smashing Fists Of Blasting +2 [Spend Odin Crystals To Upgrade Now].
A bummer – but a great time to catch the end of life version of the game, which admittedly stripped and changed some of the more obvious effluent from the game. Plus, the game has a pretty neato campaign with Kamala Khan being the star of the show.
