Upcoming psychological thriller Martha Is Dead will have part of its content altered for its release on PS5 and PS4. The game’s Xbox and PC release will be unaffected.
The statement was made by the game’s publisher Wired Productions, which said that “It is with regret that we have had to modify the experience on the PS5 and PS4 versions, with some elements no longer playable. After over four years of passion and hard work, developer LKA now requires extra time to make these unplanned changes.”

While Wired said that the game’s developer LKA will be able to make these changes to the digital version of the game before its release, unfortunately the physical release has been pushed back.
It’s not clear exactly what has caused PlayStation to request the alterations, but based on my playthrough of the game’s demo and the discourse online, it’s likely that it relates to a scene from the game where players are tasked with cutting off the face of a dead body.
I’ve had my eye on Martha Is Dead ever since its announcement and I am keen to get my hands-on the game when it launches on February 24.
