Kirby and the Forgotten Land was an amazing way to celebrate Kirby’s 30th Anniversary earlier this year, and there has been a lot of sweet merch as well. I don’t know about you but I didn’t expect anything else in the game department after Kirby’s first 3D adventure.
Nintendo surprised us late last night, however, by dropping an announcement trailer for a brand new Kirby game coming this Summer. Kirby’s Dream Buffet is an adorable multiplayer party game with Mario Party and Fall Guys vibes. In the trailer, we see Kirbys of various colours and Waddle Dees roll around delicious-looking courses made out of a heart attack’s worth of cake as well as battling in smaller, mini-game-like rounds. The trailer gave me serious cake cravings.
Of course, because this is a Kirby game you can also guarantee that it is heartbreakingly adorable. We don’t have a specific release date yet, but the game will release on the Nintendo eShop. There is no news on a physical release as of yet.
