Two hot topics lately have been the Outriders demo going live and Xbox Game Pass hoovering up Bethesda titles after Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media went through. If those are the two big talking points as of late, why not combine them and make one big, unstoppable piece of news to rule over all others?
Right, that got a bit out of hand, but I was trying to allude to the fact that the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account recently hinted that Outriders might be coming to Game Pass on launch. The Tweet shows a fake email from Melissa McGamepass (what a name) that asks “Has anyone else noticed a mysterious signal appearing in the distance lately or am I the anomaly in this situation?”
The hints here are the words signal and anomaly, as they’re two key phrases that appear in Outriders frequently. The Anomaly in Outriders is a storm-like happening that imbues your character with extraordinary powers, whereas the Signal is just that, a mysterious blip that your character is working towards to uncover its source.
With the hint-filled wording combined with the fact that we’re so close to the game’s release on April 1, it’s probably safe to assume that Outriders will indeed be launching on Game Pass day one, though this isn’t 100% confirmed just yet.
