Hunt: Showdown Gets A Brand New Performance Patch

The hunt just got a little smoother

Crytek has released a brand new patch for its Early Access, bounty hunting competitive shooter Hunt: Showdown. The patch – which was made available to the community on the Hunt Test Server for early testing and feedback – is designed to improve the game’s performance.

This new patch applies the following updates:

  • CPU optimisations
  • Reducing the overall memory footprint of the game
  • Addresses stalls that occur during movement, ADS as well as other in-game interactions.

For those who do not know what Hunt: Showdown is, it is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game set in a dystopian and dark world, where five teams of two, must set out to track monsters and claim the bounties on their heads. The more monsters you kill in this dark world, the more chances you have of becoming the hunted as you fight for survival against not just monsters, but other hunters who wish to claim all of the bounties. The more monsters and Hunters you kill, the higher the reward. But make one mistake, and it is all over.
