Hideo Kojima Has Announced That He Will Start Work On A “Radical Project” In 2022

What does the future hold for Kojima Productions?

Hideo Kojima, the creative mind behind Death Stranding, has announced that he and his team will begin work on a “radical project” this year.

Taking to Twitter to address his goals for 2022, Kojima stated that he plans to “move to the next level of experimentation with a radical project.” Kojima Productions’ Creative Director also mentioned that he plans to move further into film and radio this year.

Almost immediately following the release of Death Stranding, speculation began as to what Kojima Productions’ next title would be. Norman Reedus, who played Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding, recently claimed that a new Death Stranding game was “in negotiations”, with sketches on Kojima’s desk from back in 2020 suggesting that could be the case.

Whether this new project is related to Death Stranding or not, it’ll be interesting to see what Kojima cooks up. Love or hate his work, it’s always sure to create buzz.
