Diving Returns In Wave 1 Of Summer Updates Coming To Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Seaside fun is coming!

Nintendo just sneakily released a trailer about the latest update coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and it is a good one! Diving, which was first introduced in New Leaf, is returning and looks better than ever! You’ll even get to enter the water with a cannonball. Wetsuits appear, as well as snorkels, and with the return of sea creatures, there is also the return of otter NPC, Pascal. He appears chill as always and if you give him a scallop he will give you a DIY for the mermaid set, that was previously available on the Island in New Leaf. The set looks amazing in the New Horizons engine.

Gulliver also appears to have changed up his look, as a potential secondary option, to be a washed-up pirate. This may be indicative of the pirate set of furniture returning, but we don’t know yet. This update will release on July 3 and there will also be a second wave of DLC in early August, potentially involving fireworks. Check out the announcement trailer below:
