Interesting news comes from Bungie and Activision today as they announce that they will be bringing a Destiny 2 inspired Ramen pop-up to PAX AUS!
In partnership with modern Izakaya and Sake Bar, Akachochin, the inspiration behind this pop-up bar was influenced by none other than Cayde-6 and his favourite food, Spicy Ramen.
Being one of Destiny 2’s most beloved characters, the Destiny 2 x Akachochin pop-up will celebrate Cayde-6’s devotion to Spicy Ramen to deliver a fun, one-off dining experience for Destiny 2 fans and PAX visitors.
For those unfamiliar with Akachochin, it is a Japanese restaurant in Southbank that offers traditional Japanese dishes twisted into modern bursts of flavour. At PAX AUS, visitors will be able to find out what food fuels a Guardian with three delicious Ramen recipes all inspired by Destiny 2 characters.
On offer will be Cayde-6’s Spicy ramen, as well as Zavala Ramen with Miso Broth ,and Ikora Rey Ramen with Soy Broth. These Ramen bowls will be available on a first come, first serve basis, so if you’re really excited to try them, we recommend getting in quick!
The Destiny 2 x Akachochin pop-up will be located at ‘The Common Lawn’ at the Melbourne Convention Centre, 27th – 29th October.
Also during PAX, Destiny 2 will be playable on the NVIDIA, Razer and Alienware booths. Visitors can also enjoy live streams from some of Australia’s biggest gaming YouTubers, as well as community-led panel shows.

Tegan began gaming with her father when they would play Street Fighter together on her Nan’s PlayStation. Since then she has fallen in love with indie games, AAA games (I’m looking at you Tekken) and everything in between. Starting off as a console player, and more specifically an Xbox player, Tegan has now recently begun her new gaming ventures on PC. You can find her playing dating sims on Steam @carrotphernelia if you so wish.
