What a blur November has been. The release of new consoles and a boat-load of new games has made this month absolutely fly by. November is coming to an end, so that means that new PlayStation Plus games are on the way. This month we were given an interesting mix of games, including Middle Earth: Shadow or War, Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition and, of course, the bizarre PS5 title Bugsnax.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that November’s line-up will consist of the arena-based shooter Worms Rumble, the open-world chaos simulator Just Cause 3 and the explosive hero shooter Rocket Arena. These three free games will be available for PlayStation Plus members to download from December 1.
Many of you will be familiar with the Worms series. The entertaining multiplayer turn-based franchise is seeing a pretty drastic change with Rumble, changing things up by turning it into a real-time arena shooter. Up to 32 players will be decking out their worms with ridiculous cosmetics and blasting the opposition away with the arsenal of iconically crazy weapons in two different modes; deathmatch and battle royale. Worms Rumble is launching as a PS Plus title and will be available on both PS4 and PS5.
The Christmas season can be a busy and stressful time of year, so blowing off some steam can be necessary. In saying that, nothing quite scratches the itch for destruction and chaos like the Just Cause series. Light on story and heavy on explosions and cow launching, Just Cause 4 gives you a big open-world to roam traverse and destroy (we gave it an 8.2). The fourth entry added in extreme weather events that further fuel the ballistic fire, so turn your brain off, chuck this on and have some fun.
If Worms wasn’t enough to satisfy your multiplayer hunger then you’re in luck, as this month we are getting two multiplayer-focused games. Rocket Arena is a 3v3 hero shooter that does away with all other weapons and doubles down on rocket launchers. Mixing character-specific powers with different types of rocket-based armaments, you’re able to duke it out in a variety of maps and modes. Rocket Arena has been around for a while now but hasn’t managed to gather much of a following, so hopefully, its inclusion as a PS Plus title might change that.
If you’re yet to download November’s free games (Shadow of War, Hollow Knight and Bugsnax) you have until November 30 to do so.
Are you keen for any of December’s free games? Did you download any of the games from November’s line-up? Let us know.
