Developer CD Projekt Red has announced that the first expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will release in 2023.
We’ve known for some time that CD Projekt Red has plans to release post-launch content for Cyberpunk, but during the studio’s most recent financial call, we finally got a rough idea of when that content will release. No further details have been provided at this time, but the announcement also mentioned that more information on the expansion would be coming later this year.
As it was mentioned in @CDPROJEKTRED_IR financial call moments ago, Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion will arrive in 2023. Please stay tuned for more details coming later this year 🦾 https://t.co/rq1w6RDTDL

We’re all aware of the issues that have plagued Cyberpunk and CD Projekt Red itself, but the game is in a far better place now thanks to update 1.5 (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions). It’s still far from perfect, but CD Projekt has a solid track record of releasing excellent post-launch expansion, as we saw with The Witcher 3’s Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine DLCs, so perhaps Cyberpunk’s new content could be great as well.
The financial call also highlighted the other projects that the studio will be working on for the remainder of 2022, including the new Witcher game, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3 and a spin-off of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.
