Developer Weforge Studio has released a new gameplay trailer for its co-op extraction horror title Macabre, with the game’s Kickstart campaign going live alongside it.
Developed by Sydney-based Weforge Studio, Macabre is a four-player an extraction experience that prioritises stealth and teamwork to avoid an intelligent threat that hunts your squad as you scrounge around for supplies required to escape. This new trailer gives us our first proper look at gameplay, with the team of stranded survivors getting the rundown about their extra-dimensional prison from the very Australian friendly face, Banjo.
The aim is to collect artefacts and trinkets for crafting in a procedurally generated Rift, all while being hunted by the Macabre. This sculking beastie will gradually learn from your playstyle and prey on you accordingly. The trailer is short, but it definitely gets its message across, and it looks like a great bit of co-op fun.

The game’s Kickstarter has gone live at the same time as the trailer, so if you like what you’re seeing, go over there and take a look. The team is currently aiming for a 2025 release on PC, but we’ll know more during the course of the campaign.
