In the first summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons earlier this month, it was teased that another update would be happening around August and Nintendo is right on target, dropping a new trailer about Wave 2 of summer updates starting from July 30.
Firstly, during the month of August, for both hemispheres, there will be Fireworks Shows on Sunday nights. These Shows are similar to past games, with Redd having a stall full of goodies in the plaza, glowing head bobbers and fireworks of many different varieties. It looks like something fun to share with your friends and island residents.
Also returning is Luna from the Dream Suite in New Leaf, though this time you just sleep in your bed to see her rather than needing a whole building. By visiting Luna you can save and share your own island with people all over the world as well as visit other peoples islands in a dream-like tour.
Lastly, the long-awaited Island Backup Restoration Service will also be available from July 30, see Nintendo’s support page for more details. The next free update will be coming in spring and will likely focus on Halloween as the NPC Jack is shown.
