Alone In The Dark Has Been Delayed Into 2024

Living up to its name

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Pieces Interactive have announced that the horror game Alone in the Dark has been delayed and will now release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on January 16.

Taking to X (Twitter) with a brief statement, the upcoming reboot of the cult classic horror title has been moved out of a very busy October to give it some room to breathe. According to this statement, “Horror games thrive on the eerie embrace of solitude, something that is impossible to achieve in a gaming month as busy as October.”

With huge titles seemingly dropping every second day in the spookiest month of the year, this shift into early 2023 is a wise one.

The reboot will feature two playable protagonists, Emily and Edward, brought to life by David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), respectively.
