Nintendo Has Revealed A Themed Interactive Alarm Clock Called Alarmo

Wahoo is this for?

Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Alarmo, an interactive alarm clock that uses various brand mascots to get you up and about.

The little Mario red alarm clock does what you would expect, displaying the time and date and allowing you to set an alarm to wake up to, but it also has a few special features that make it…more Nintendo. Like a sunrise alarm, the Alarmo will begin your wake-up routine with a character appearing on the screen, waiting, watching. Once the alarm sounds, another guest character will welcome you to the day, though you can wave your hand or move around in bed to activate snooze. Your character of choice will pop up a few more times, but if you abuse the snooze, another, more severe character will show up to give you a final, louder nudge. And hey, once you get up, you’ll be rewarded with a little achievement noise and celebration.

Alarmo uses a hands-free motion sensor to keep an eye on you, removing the need to push a button to snooze or turn off the alarm. Don’t worry, just get up, Mario is watching.

The Alarmo will ship with 35 scenes to choose from across five Nintendo properties: Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. Additional scenes will be available to download from the Nintendo Store later, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons being name-checked on the Nintendo Store listing.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: I better get myself in order and purchase myself an Alarmo. Well, I have some bad news because the Nintendo Alarmo is only available in the US and Canada at the moment, running those folks for $99 USD.

In any event, you should take a look at the trailer for this bizarre little device here:
