Anger Foot Came To Life As Part Of An Epic Door Kicking Pre-Launch Experience

The first person shoe-ter took over Brighton Beach

Anger Foot is by far one of the best examples of a game that embodies its concept. There is a foot, plenty of anger – and you do what a foot does best, as demonstrated by our own Adam Ryan when he previewed the gem of a title a short while back.

So when it comes to celebrating the imminent release of the incredible ‘first person shoe-ter’, the marketing team decided to bring the experience to life with an epic event taking place at Brighton Beach in the UK – complete with kickable doors and an appearance by the owner of the Angry Feet himself:

As if the idea of playing Anger Foot along side the angry man wasn’t cool enough, the real highlight was the implementation of actual kickable doors to input your own boot-based strength into the game.

We’ll have the game demo available with a kickplate controller mounted to an actual door. Yep – the kickplate will be fixed to a door, so you can live out all Anger Foot fantasies by kicking down (in-game) enemies with a (real-life) door.

Features:
⠀• Food! Beverages!
⠀• Anger Foot, the man and mascot himself.
⠀• Cool prizes!
⠀• Door-based strength-o-meter to test the ANGER of your FEET.
⠀• Come and get your kicks with some foot-first big-screen door destruction!

Put together by We Throw Switches, a crew who create peripheral magic on a grand scale, the doors at the play area did legit have a sensor pad to record when someone hucked a foot at the surface, with the impact translating to an actual input within the game. Everyone got to transport themselves back a few scant years to the days of the motion control fad that plagued us all – only this time it was awesome, and oh-so violent.

A positively magnificent way to prepare the world for what comes next when feet start flying, considering the game aims to unlock in approximately 17 hours over on Steam. So while we Aussies may have missed out on the in-person experience, we can work out our frustrations via door-based violence shortly.

What do you think of the Anger Foot live launch experience? Could you fit a full door-sized controller in your gaming area to best enjoy what the game has to offer? Tell us all about it in the comments or on social media.
