God Of War’s PC System Requirements Have Been Revealed

Boy oh boy

PC gamers can start to prepare their systems accordingly as the January 14 launch of God of War on PC looms just around the corner. Sony Santa Monica has revealed a detailed breakdown of the spec requirements for God of War on PC, as well as a new trailer that highlights some of the special features of this port.

Players will have five different specification levels to choose from for the PC version of God of War. The recommended specs, which will allow you to play the game at 1080p at 60fps, requires a Nvidia GTX 1060. Meanwhile, to play the game at 4K at 60fps, you’re going to need a Nvidia RTX 3080. The full specs for the PC version of God of War are detailed in the image below.

Meanwhile, the gorgeous new trailer confirms that the PC port will run at 4K/60fps, have higher resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, and NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex support.

Originally released in 2018 exclusively for the PS4, God of War successfully breathed new life into this iconic PlayStation franchise by switching the setting from Greek to Norse mythology, updating the combat system and exploration to be more in line with modern games, and framing the narrative as a character-driven journey between a father and son trying to reconcile their relationship after the loss of a family member. We were glowing of the game in our review, and it’s great that gamers outside of the Sony ecosystem will get to play this modern classic when it arrives on PC on January 14, 2022.
