Nu-Gen Versions Of Cyberpunk 2077 And The Witcher 3 Delayed To 2022

CD Projekt Red has announced that it has delayed the both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt until 2022.

The announcement was made via social media, with the Polish studio stating that the decision was made based on the recommendation made by the teams supervising both games development. Cyberpunk 2077 will now aim to launch in the first quarter of 2022, while The Witcher 3 will target the second quarter.

Since Cybperpunk 2077’s disastrous launch in December 2020, CDPR has been facing an uphill battle to redeem themselves and fix the plethora of issues with the game. While delays are always welcome, with early 2022 already jam-packed full of big titles, it feels like another missed opportunity for CDPR to make good on their promise to deliver an experience that represents their vision.
