So, true to form Nintendo has dropped another Mini Direct for its partner studios, apparently the last of its kind for the year. Here is a summary of all of the titles covered:
- Firstly we get to see a new trailer for Bravely Default II. The art style in HD looks amazing, such a long way from the original games. The voice acting covers an array of accents, including at least one Aussie as the Vanguard asterix holder. We got to see the Vanguard, Bard, Beastmaster (my favorite) and Gambler asterix holder, with more to be shown off in the future. Over 20,000 responses were give to the March 2020 demo. They have taken on that feedback, particularly regarding the difficulty level and controls, and they are focused of making those adjustments. A video of the changes made from the demo survey will be posted soon on the Nintendo YouTube channel. Bravely Default II is releasing February 26, 2021. Preorders begin today on the Nintendo eShop.
- A new 3D adventure in the Story of Seasons franchise has been announced! Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town sees you move to Olive Town where you need to prepare the land and explore before you can start farming. You may find things as you explore such as seeds, abandoned buildings and more to help you on your adventure. Your farm layout is completely up to you. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town releases on Nintendo Switch on March 23, 2021.
- A post apocalyptic turn based strategy game is coming to Switch in the form of Surviving The Aftermath, releasing in Spring 2021.
- Immortals Fenyx Rising makes an appearance, showing off the different weapons, combat and upgrades you can give to your character Fenyx. The game releases on Nintendo Switch on December 3.

You don’t have to play the earlier games, but if you have its even more awesome. The first No More Heroes is being ported to Nintendo Switch as well as No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle and they both drop later today!
